	United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon discussed a broad range of strategies with Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad in New Delhi. While Mr. Ban praised India’s success in eradicating polio, he also emphasized the need for accelerated action to achieve the agreed targets for the Millennium Development Goals on improving maternal health and reducing child mortality.
