The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas increased to 109.64 US$/barrel (bbl) on 20.11.2012 as compared to US$ 109.27 /bbl on the previous trading day’s figures of 19.11.2012.  

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went up marginally to Rs 6020.33 per bbl on 20.11.2012 as compared to Rs 6006.57 per bbl on 19.11.2012. This was due to rise in price in dollar terms though rupee appreciation moderated the increase in price in rupee terms. Rupee dollar-exchange rate on 20.11.2012 was Rs 54.91/US$ against Rs 54.97 US$ on last trading day of 19.11.2012.
