Falaknuma-Gulbarga Passenger accident case rquired more inquiry

Mumbai: November 21,2012

Shri Chetan Bakshi, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Central Circle, Mumbaiu held a Statutory INquiry into the accident of Fire in coach No. SC 99480 GS, 6th from Engine of 57660 Up Falaknuma-Gulbarga Passenger at 13.40 hrs on 16.10.2012 at km. 568/0-1 on platform No. 3 at Gulbarga station on Wadi-Solapur Non electrified BG section (Double Line at Wadi end and Single line at Solapur end) of Solapur Division of Central Railway . As a result of this accident, 2 persons died, 2 passendgers sustained grievous injury and 4 passengers sustained simple injuries.

According to the Preliminary Report of the Commissioner, some more investigations are required to be done to arrive at the cause of Fire. This finding is under the consideration of the Government.
