Independent Regulatory Authority for Coal sector soon

New Delhi: December 4,2012

The Government proposes to set up an independent regulatory Authority for coal sector to ensure more optimal development and conservation of coal resources; more effective regulation; adoption of best mining practices; rational pricing, better distribution, evolution of a more competitive market, creating a level playing field for new entrants in coal sector etc.

 

This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Coal, Shri Pratik Prakashbapu Patil in a written reply in Lok sabha today.
